Congratulations
To the new council, all candidates
Let me congratulate all the candidates for their efforts to bring attention to people's concerns. This democratic voting process was important to promote our platforms and engage the citizens to elect Vaughan's new council. I want to personally wish you and your families well and good fortune in your future endeavours. Public office is a noble vocation. You deserve to be applauded for your efforts and personal sacrifice.
To the newly elected City of Vaughan Council - a world class city deserves world class leadership. I have faith that you will bring integrity, responsibility, and accountability to the people through the City of Vaughan government. This victory belongs to the citizens.
My political fire is smouldering, waiting for an opportunity to lend support to the City of Vaughan.
Sincerely yours,
Tony Lorini

Message from Tony Lorini
October is another interesting month here at the City.
There are just a few weeks left until Election Day on October 25th and I encourage everyone, from Vaughan, to get out and vote. By voting, you are exercising your democratic right to have a say in how your community is governed. This is important, as Municipal government has a direct impact on the day-to-day lives of residents.
It’s time to bring accountability, responsibility and integrity back to the City of Vaughan.

Streetscape, Curb Appeal
With the growth of neighbourhoods, the aesthetics of the community are important. Whether enjoying our parks or walking along our streets; the money should be spent on trees, garden beds, or grass. We've had poor management of our unsightly streetscapes. This eye appeal is important to draw business and new citizens, to make us a world class city.
EMS, Firefighters, and Police
Our community depends on the best front of line emergency services. They will have my complete attention and commitment from my office as Mayor. The Vaughan Firefighters contract has been in arbitration for over two years, and in negotiations the previous year and a half. Shortly after taking office, my objective will be to settle this.

An Unnecessary Eyesore
Premature Breakdown
Clarence ST. (North of Rutherford) - This subdivision is another example of substandard quality products. Utility boxes are prematurely rusting out like car bodies. This is a danger to children and adults, and a unnecessary tax expense in the very near future to the neighbourhood.

Out of Order...Still
Clarence Ave. & Wycliffe Ave. - It's been over a year since a retaining wall and sidewalk have collapsed due to erosion. This should be a priority repair. Unchecked, in a short time the grass boulevard, sewer pipes, and road will collapse and create a larger than necessary road repair. This is an example of a complacent and indifferent government, where small expenses become large wasteful tax expenses.
